GSSD base Neuthymen. A Soviet base that during its operation had hosted nuclear weapons for a period of time. It lies forgotten in a beautiful and dense forest of North Brandenburg not far from Fürstenberg/Havel. In general the base is stripped of pretty much everything valuable thus it is more or less a bunch of concrete boring for some, not so boring for others, buildings. The highlights of course are the bunkers and the big sports hall. I have heard there’s a left behind piano in one of the apartment blocks rooms but never put the effort to look up for it. Lazy exploring is the case after lots of miles driving. Definitely pay a visit if you are in the vicinity and also curious to see the place that the nukes would have lift off to fall on your parents heads many decades ago. There’s security patrol I guess so be careful not to be caught in a place that is not worth getting caught.
