Nazi Radar Station

Nazi Radar Station

This place was according to a Polish website an Anti-Aircraft Unit of the ex-Socialist Polish Air Force, so based on that information I was guessing that it was protecting the small airfield nearby. When I reached the area I quickly found out that the airfield was still in use and I managed only to see the landing strip which was just another landing strip, nothing new, so I drove up the hill to visit the Unit. The view was amazing but the whole place was stripped to the bone, sprayed over and trashed, there was nothing reminding of it being an Anti-Aircraft Unit or even an army building. No traces at all. I got very disappointed and rushed my way through the rooms and the small basement seeing only the same repetitive picture, took some shots and left not long after to drive to the next place I had in my list. The funny thing here? All this time I thought of it as an AA Unit with only the last days, after trying to locate it on the map again, realizing that it was a Weather and Radar Station of the Nazi Germany before that area been given post-war to Poland. This kind of explained why the place was in such mess after so many decades out of use and also why the architecture was not matching with what I have seen in similar places.
